These SMS Terms & Conditions ("SMS Terms") govern your participation in the Text to Train SMS program operated by The Garage ("we," "us," or "our"). These SMS Terms are in addition to any other terms of service or agreements you may have with The Garage. By opting in to our SMS program, you agree to these SMS Terms.

1. Program Description

The Garage's Text to Train program is a conversational SMS-based service that allows community gym members ("Members") to:

  • Book and cancel gym sessions via text message.

  • Receive booking confirmations and session reminders.

  • Join and manage waitlist positions for full sessions.

  • Receive community announcements, schedule changes, and facility updates.

  • View open session availability and manage their schedule.

The Service is provided at firstturn.xyz and through SMS messages sent to and from 1-808-GARAGEX

2. Consent & Opt-In

By providing your mobile phone number and affirmatively opting in to the Text to Train SMS program — whether through our website, in person, or by texting a keyword to our number — you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text messages from The Garage at the mobile number you provided.


Consent is not a condition of purchase or membership. You are not required to opt in to the SMS program to use The Garage's facilities or become a member.

By opting in, you confirm that:

  • You are the owner or authorized user of the mobile device and phone number provided.

  • You are at least 18 years of age.

  • You agree to receive automated text messages from The Garage related to session scheduling, booking confirmations, reminders, waitlist updates, and community announcements.

  • You understand that message and data rates may apply.

  • You have read and agree to these SMS Terms and our Privacy Policy.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your booking activity, waitlist status, and community announcements. You may receive multiple messages per week, including but not limited to:

  • Booking confirmation and cancellation messages.

  • Session reminders (e.g., 1 hour before your booked session).

  • Waitlist notifications when a spot opens.

  • Community announcements and schedule change alerts.

4. Message & Data Rates

Standard messaging and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply to messages sent to or received from The Garage. You are responsible for any charges from your carrier. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.

5. Opt-Out

You may opt out of the Text to Train SMS program at any time by using any of the following methods:

After sending an opt-out keyword, you will receive a single confirmation message acknowledging that you have been unsubscribed. No additional messages will be sent unless you re-subscribe.

You may also opt out by contacting us directly at mike@firstturn.xyz. We will process opt-out requests received through any channel (email, phone, or in person) promptly.

6. Help & Support

For assistance with the SMS program, you can:

  • Reply HELP to any message from The Garage to receive support information.

  • Email us at mike@firstturn.xyz.

  • Visit firstturn.xyz.

When you text HELP, you will receive a message with our program name, contact information, and instructions for opting out.

7. Permitted Use

The Text to Train SMS service is intended for personal, non-commercial use by Members of The Garage community. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.

  • Send spam, automated messages, or unsolicited communications to our SMS number.

  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service.

  • Impersonate another person or provide false information.

  • Book sessions you do not intend to attend or engage in patterns of repeated no-shows.

8. Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these SMS Terms by reference.


We will never sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent information is used exclusively for delivering the Text to Train service as described in these terms.

9. Carrier Disclaimer

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your wireless carrier and network availability. T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and other major U.S. carriers are supported, but The Garage makes no guarantee that SMS messages will be delivered to all carrier networks.

10. Service Availability & Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Text to Train SMS program (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes via SMS or through our website. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Garage, its owners, operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to:

  • Your use of or inability to use the SMS program.

  • Any errors, delays, or failures in message delivery.

  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.

  • Any conduct of third parties related to the Service.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Garage, its owners, operators, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your violation of these SMS Terms or your use of the Service.

13. Governing Law

These SMS Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these SMS Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Westchester County, New York.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Where appropriate, we will notify you of changes via SMS or our website. Your continued participation in the SMS program after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these SMS Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
